Flight Testing & Integration Engineer

Full-Time, Munich

TYTAN is a young deep-tech defense startup that develops a cost-effective counter-drone solution to protect people and critical infrastructure. We are an international team of ambitious engineers who combine expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design.

 

We are looking for a new team member who is eager to make a real difference! As a Flight Testing & Integration Engineer, you will push the boundaries of unmanned systems and collaborate with operators to drive real-world missions.

Your roadmap to make an impact:

  • Plan, prepare, and conduct flight testing activities.

  • Take responsibility for product demonstrations, military exercises, and operator training sessions.

  • Document performance data and analyze results to drive product improvements.

  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and successful deployments.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of products, identify opportunities for innovation through user feedback, and communicate insights to the development team.

  • Work directly with mission partners to plan and execute operations, understand challenges, and implement solutions.

Who you are:

  • Degree in Robotics, Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, and 2+ years of relevant work experience.

  • You have the skills to make things fly; experience in autonomous aerial systems, including their structure, software, and electronics, is a strong advantage.

  • You are a passionate FPV pilot with state-of-the-art knowledge and a hands-on, get-it-done attitude.

  • Eagerness to fix things in an elegant yet pragmatic way, finding solutions that work in the moment without losing sight of long-term goals.

  • Able to collaborate in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, and comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.

  • Possess exceptional problem-solving skills and excel under pressure.

  • Willingness and interest in traveling to partners’ sites as needed.

  • Hands-on mentality with solid multitasking and self-organization abilities.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality with solid multitasking and self-organization abilities.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  • Proficiency in English. German knowledge is beneficial.
